Juma Sultan is an American percussionist best known for playing with rock legend Jimi Hendrix. Sultan performed in 1969 at Woodstock in Hendrix's band, Gypsy Sun and Rainbows, as well as on the Dick Cavett show and at a special show in Harlem, New York several weeks later. He is recognizable from his extensive interviews in the the documentary films, "Jimi Hendrix" and "Jimi Hendrix: Live at Woodstock." He also recorded with Archie Shepp, Noah Howard, Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre, and Daoud Haroon.
